I have a 1991 CRX HF with a 5 speed manual transmission that won't start during the heat of the day in the summer months. During normal starting operations the dash lights all come on (check engine, oil, seat belt, shift indicator light, etc), but when the daytime temperatures get hot (80-90+ degrees) all the dash lights come on except for the green shift indicator light and the check engine light stays on. When this occurs the engine will turn over, but it won't start. After sitting for a while (amount of time is different every occurence) the green indicator light will come on, 'click' as if it's resetting, the check engine and shift indicator lights both go out, and the car will start. I've also experienced the shift indicator light coming on without hearing the 'click', have both lights (check engineand shift indicator) go out, and it won't start. After figuring out that the 'click' was the cue that it would start, I now wait until I hear it 'click' before attempting to turn it over.
