With a good ecu, performance downpipe and exhaust, and an intake the 1.8t becomes a very very mean engine with just those few mods.

bro, hit up www.club18t.com. some advice: never put a BOV on the 1.8T, you need to put a DV, otherwise you'll be running lean/rich the entire time. you already noticed how much better the Jetta will pull. with a chip, intake, downpipe, exhaust, dv, you should be hitting the 200hp mark. my friend just dynoed his 2001 GTI 1.8T and he's at 218 hp with 224 ft/tq. The Jetta 1.8T is gonna be my next car when is sell my civic. and yes, its like the Audi A4 except the A4 is just a lil bit heavier, not much tho, unless you go with the quattro, then it'll be alot heavier because of that. the gauges are just sick too...i wouldnt change them for anything. Nice VEEDUB!! www.jettaowners.com on the www.sportcompactracing.com network.

Yeah...thats wut i heard too..i'm doing a lot of research before i do anything!! when i do get the diverter valve how will i know how to adjust it? to what point to what point? yea...i'm tryin to find a chip that u don't need to solder on or do u have to do that to all of them? my plan is to get the neuspeed chip and break 210-220 hp and 220-230 torque! also front mount intercooler and forge 007 dv!

i think that you need to send your chip to neuspeed and they'll do it all for you. so you wont be able to drive your car for a couple days but it'll be worth it. nice intake dude, looks really nice. is it the neuspeed p-flow...?? no doubt about getting a bigger intercooler and the stock one is obviously not in the best of places to recieve really good air flow. check out the turbo downpipe as well. but make sure you read up on it cuz the VeeDubs turbo's a just a lil different. boost controller and gauges will help you out and they'll look hott. i believe 42design finally came out with some gauges that match the stock blue lighting. keep up updated on the mods!!!
