My 96 DX... just bought it... project in works...

Hello all! I just bought this 96 DX coupe from a friend at work... it was only $1500 so I had to buy it. Um, the pictures will tell you guys most everything about it. I have put some $$ into it already.. when I bought it it didnt have a passenger window... (smashed out) and I painted all the interior panels that you will see are white... lol I had to do something to it... cause my budget it so tight right now. I have plans for this car... the biggest being a swap.. (b16 or keep the D series) still havn't decided yet. Um much more planning in the works... Never intend to show it or anything like that making more of a performance orientated, street-able DD thats gonna look sexy... lol

Okay the deal on the interior... all those pieces I just repainted everything done to the car was donw before I bought it.... the panels were already white... just shitty and peeling and dirty....like moldy dirty... just nasty... so I figured I'd take them to work and media blast the paint off... but I guess that was a bad idea... blasting vinyl was a bad idea it looked like s**t all rough and crap... so I just repainted everything white for now.... It doies have glow in the dark blue clear spray oivertop though so at night everything glows blue... IDK if I'm gonna keep it that way I dont love it ether...but it's a quick cheap for now till I can score cheap OEM replacements without payin up the yingyang from a yard....

That's just the way it looks for now... I have some plans in the works and have for quite some time...I mean when I bought this thing it was DIRTY.... I spent over eight hours cleaning the interior shampooing and whatnot.... and I've come to the conclusion a lot of it needs replacing the carpet is stained all over nasty I Shampooed used a green machine tried everything and just came to the conclusion it needs replacing.... I know the cars not much now but like I said it's a work in progress... The Rims are annihilated...center pieces missing off 2 of them band chipped smahed all to hell... body damage is a minimal though trunk is damaged smahed in by the H emblem... not real noticeable but needs replacing... also both bumpers are shot, but as I've said its all getting replaced eventually.... I just couldn't resist picking it up for $1500... it has potential... and I'm gonna exploit it.... before I worry about cosmetics though I need to get this swap underway... the cars got 150K on it and the clutch is ORIGINAL!!!! yes it's in desperate need of hel;p....and I can tell you the guy who owned it before me wasn't much on matience...so it needs some help... (and he wasn't very friendly motor either... the way I saw him driving it) So I just pray the car dosn't explode on me within the next couple months until I get the details of the swap and whatnot worked out... It also has a leaky CV boot (pinhole it think) which could cause me problems in the near future... so well see what happens...

Okay well although it's weak, here's a full Mod list for it....some was done when I bought her...some I did....
All the money right now is going into general matainence cause it needs it and after that all goes under the hood till I'm happy w/ the turbo setup I want. The junk parts will eventually come off but that costs money, and its scarce at the moment..

96 DX Coupe awaiting to be turbo-fied....slow process so this list is pretty much static till I swap....


(Weak)Performance MODS:

Custom Exhaust 3 inch piping 4 inch tip
Removal of Cataylic Converter
Junk Cold air intake > converted to short ram
Dropped w/ Adjustable Springs
Plenty more planned.. (Needs some maintenance before mods...lol)

Other Mods:
Painted paneling (in the works of fixing)
Alum. 17's Kuhmo Tires
Most lights blue (overhead, gauge cluster, turn signals... ect)
12' switched blue tubes under the seats (dash switch)
Cheap-o Heads and Tezza's
35% Fronts 15% rear Q's and back

Audio:
Pioneer DEH-8000P Competition deck
300 W Junk amp going to the rears
rear > Boston Acoustic 6x9's
fronts > Polk component 6.5's
Car is wired for 2 more amps
