My 99 EX **Updated**

*Pictures updated on last page April 12.....*

Here is a picture before I took it back into the shop to start the majority of the customizing...

And here it is the day I pulled it in the shop to start tearing into it...

And here is a sneak peak at how it looks now...

Some of you will appreciate it, and some of you wont. I am into show and go so I appreciate all aspects of customizing. I build cars for a living and I do it for fun. I know some people dont understand how you could spend all that money on looks and have a slow car but, I do becuse I enjoy it. Let me know what you think, good or bad, it wont hurt my feelings 8) .

not a big fan of that style license plate mounting on any vehicle :???:

think it was a smart idea to lose the bodykit, just doesnt really fit into the style of what you may be going for :what:

but definitly update this :D :thumbs up

Thanks guys. Yea when I first started building the car I had it lowered on 18" Enkei RSF2's with the Aerogear side skirts and rear bumper, and custom shaved Skyline style R32 front bumper. That was fun for a while until I went through 2 front bumpers (fiberglass) and decided I didnt like it. I really like how clean the Si lip kit looks so I am actually going to run all stock bumpers with Si lips on it.

As for performance I have just added an Apexi N1 exhaust, and AEM cold air intake. I plan on swapping the motor out for a Si motor and doing a manual trans and then doing a Full-Race turbo setup....but we will see when that time comes. I have spent alot of money on the car and I am just trying to get it all in one color and to were I can apprecaite it and drive it again. I had to buy a beater car because I couldnt stand taking it off the road for the weekend and having to rush it back to driveable condition to drive it on monday. Perks of working at a body shop though are that I do almost all of the work myself for a fraction of the price it would really cost.

Its on steel wheels right now and air suspension. I am looking at the Niche F16's as my choice of wheels right now, 18s again, and I have a rendering of what I am going to do to the car but I am not sure if I really want to post it up yet, but if you guys want to see it I can email it to you. The license plate was more or less something I always liked, but not I wish I had just shaved it all and put the license plate straight on one of the corners (then again 8 tickets in the first month I had it done pushed me towards that decision lol).

Haha thats funny that you say that I mostly enter my car in club run shows and stuff like that, and I am around more of the custom truck scene then the cars. I mean dont get me wrong I am into performance upgrades and speed as well, just the fact that I am not really into mechanics or anything like that which alway kept me away from it. I can do basics but I would rather have help doing a turbo install or motor swap from my buddies who do that s**t everyday you know.

Like I said above everybody has there own taste, I am not asking you to like it. Personally...I like it, I like them shaved and straight, I like them shaved and crooked, I like them shaved and in the middle. I just like how it looks myself.

Well the new tail lights are going to be either Chevy Cobalt outer tail lights molded into the corners of the bumpers just like on the Cobalt, or these 1932 Ford Tear Drop LED tail lights that I picked up.

Future plans are actually being done right now, shaved door handles, shaved tail lights (all of them), Jspec headlights, shaved hood, shaved moldings, shaved antena, and custom 2 tone paint. The interior will also be fully done but I havent even began to start thinking about that yet. I have some interior goodies sitting aruond but they arent in yet.

I will keep updating this thread with pictures if you guys would like, I have no problem doing that at all.

I really REALLY like kitted white coupes. I don't know why, they're just really appealing. the rear plate is iffy, better if it was shaved though IMO. the inner tails would've set it off well. I like everything else though  what do you have planned for the front?

not bad for your interest, at least you don't have gaps all over the place, most ppl on here are about jdm look and "go" you just so happen to be into show which no one will nock you on, if you just planned on doing the swap boost the d and leave it at that so you have a lil more power but at a fraction of the cost, looks like quality body work, as we talked in pms the guy before me did my trunk and its not my cup of tea, but thats why the new lid is in storage (which i got cheap at a bone yard)
