my boost build

well as soon as i get new shocks, springs, motor mounts, and bushings im gonna start collecting parts for my boost build. i have a 92 civic si with d16z6. i need suggestion of specific parts for the all of the following items.

im looking to get the car into the 13's and im guessing ill need anywhere from 185-200 whp.

exhaust manifold
wastegate------------------- tial 35mm
turbo
downpipe 2.5"
exhaust 2.5"
air filter cheapy
piping custom
intercooler ---------------24x6x3
bov hks ssqv
vacum hose
t fittings
oil lines/fittings
fuel management------------hondata s100/200
injectors 440cc
fuel pump------------ walbro 255lph fuel pump
3 bar map sensor
pcv system
gauges a/f,boost,oil pressure
gauge pods dash pod,
clutch

14g turbo and DSM injectors from a DSM (Eclipse GS-T, Talon TSi)... can be had for a reasonable price on Ebay.
Scrap Hondata (unless you have the money) and go Uberdata.
And if your trying to break 13s, spend good money on some tires.

I know my info isn't much, but that was off the top of my head... im pretty sure someone could add more to it...

your info looks good to me. i would only add if you understand how a turbo works then youll know exactly what to get for your setup. youll know exactly what you need to get your car into the 13's

pic your own turbo and you wil learn which does what. Remember the bigger the compressor #s the more hp youll get but will have more lag. The smaller compressor #s the less hp youll have bu less lag.

I have come to like lag with the more hp, its up to you.

you'll need more than 185-200whp to break 13's

you'll need some pistons and rods(might i suggest vitara pistons and scat rods.. run you about 350-400 for it all) and then turn up the boost.. then if you still get traction..you'll hit hight 13's with VERY good tires on a good day

whoever said uberdata sucks should leave the forum lol forever. :lol: :lol:

before i start suggesting any other turbo parts what are you looking to spend on this setup..anything to gte 13's? or do you have a limit

i disagree. You can swap in a B18C... which has ~160WHP and hit 13's. And I disagree that you'll need to swap the pistons/rods out. Just get a blockguard (ARP) and a thicker(stronger) headgasket and you'll be fine for your goals.

Suspension + hooking up will affect your times the most. But OG poster, you are definitely right thinking you'll dip into low-mid 13's with 200whp.

ok i have seen ppl break 13's with less than 180whp. crazy good drivers tho. so i stand corrected on that one. my apologies.( i suppose now i should be expecting low 13's when my setup is done 8) )
ALOT of people do not like blockgaurds because they cause uneven heat distribution on the walls. but others run them with success.
imo thicker headgaskets are a cheap way out of lowering your compression. i would just go with arp studs and an oem gasket.

keep us posted on the build

Screw some dsm fuel injectors dont cheap out on the injectors and tuning stuff get hondata s100 with boost option is all you need and go with some rc injectors and expect to fork over some dough for dyno tuning :evil:

orrrrrrrrrrr you could use dsm 450's, resistor box, get your ecu socketed for uber and get it dyno tuned with uber and i bet you'll have a nearly identical tune. don't hate on the dsm/uber combo just cuz you shelled out the money for rc's and hondata and now your mad because you know its almost as good =) =) =)
