my car likes messing with me

Hi guys, pretty much I have a 91 civic dx with a b16a1 swapped in. Last week my car started playing games. It won't start unless I turn my wheel a certain way, like nothing happens till I fight it for a while. Then my starter helps me out and pretends like nothing everhappened. Any ideas?

I think that your steering wheel locks. I had a problem like that when i got my 95 civic i would have to turn the wheel a little to start the car.come to find out u can lock the steering whe i think u might be just locking the steering wheel

Na its not that. I learned the whole locked wheel thing after making a fool of myself years ago. I turn my key to start and the starter doesn't turn, then I turn my wheel all the way to the right and the left and start looking for the sweet spot. After another week of this I could probably crack the code to a bank vault

Had a hunch it was starter, so I took out assembly and took it to autozone. They tested it and sparks literally flew everywhere... So I think my hunch was right
