Got this DA awhile ago (http://www.clubcivic.com/board/showthread.php?t=113750), almost two years ago in fact. April 25, 2007. Got it with 142,5xx miles and it now has 171k on it. So I'm putting about 14250 miles per year on this thing. this is my 5th DA integra and probably the least modded one I've owned. Long story short, the motor was going toast, big time. The last straw was when the spark plug broke inside the engine. instead of replacing the head, or getting the machine work done and then having the rings blow out next month i decided to upgrade a little. So yesterday a friend and I pulled the motor out and today i drove this home:

found this under the hood after the ride home:

thanks man. i've always wanted to put a b20 in a DA for a daily beater. i was inspired by my buddy Steve really when he put an LS in a wagon. the total bill was around $1250-1300. that includes a new timing belt, water pump, tensioner, axle, lubrication, some gaskets and drive belts. Not really a bad deal.

i'm happiest that the engine bay looks completely stock to the untrained eye (valve cover) and that i kept all the amenities like PS, A/C, Cruise, etc.

the wrench? i dont know. i opened my hood to take a picture and it was laying there. so i didn't observe it there until after i got home.
You said the ultimate budget daily driver. Skinny low rolling resistance tires= budget daily driver
well, i was kinda thinking more along the lines of changing the shocks out, etc. not really just trying to replace parts with cheaper parts.

ahahaha.

kyle are you sure you cut it the right length so its reading the correct oil level?
yea. i measured the two dipsticks. then cut the difference off of the longer dipstick tube and used the smaller dipstick. it fits in there kinda loose, but i think its ok.
