My first Honda... 1998 Honda Civic DX

Hey whats going on everyone? Im Ryan from Vermont. I just bought my first Honda , a 1998 Civic DX... its in pretty good condition, some rust and scratches etc... since its only a 1.6 its terrible on hills lol... Well i dont wanna go all out but i wanna make it look nice , sound nice etc.. What do you all suggest on starting out with upgrades?? Especially to increase horsepower, I know i cant do to much unless i go big but i dont have that kind of money.. cheers everyone.

Welcome mayne! Yeah my friend has a 96 dx and that things struggles getting up hills too lol... Save up for a B series swap

The simple bolt ons (intake, header and exhaust) but tbh a single cam has very little potential anyways, even with a tune.
For the intake, just get some ebay filter and slap on a k&n filter, the filter is what matters anyways.
But dont go ebay for exhaust and header bc of quality and fitment issues. For exhaust it will depend on your taste, and the most you would need is 2.5" piping.
But honestly before anything, you should do maintenance like oil change and tune up etc

Do all the maintenance first before you start doing any mods
it wont net you very much, but a good bit of people do the mini me swaps you could look into that then do the basic bolt ons to the mini me swap, however its completely up to you.
Also depends on your budget, mechanical ability, etc
