My headunit resets everytime i turn my car off

i found a yellow wire that is not going any where, Im guessing thats the constant power heading for the unit. heres a pic..

honestly your best bet is to look in the headunit manual for hte color codeing...each vehicle is diffrent.

Constant power comes from the Wht/Blu wire through the 7.5A Back Up hood fuse 32. Start by checking whether this fuse is blown.

You are correct, yellow is constant on aftermarket harnesses. That should be wired up to the yellow lead on your aftermarket deck and then all settings will be retained after powering down.
