Okay im gonna explain what's goin on right now lol
I still have my d16y8 good head, came out of my 2000 civic ex. Thank god i kept it.
I just bought a 300$ 99 civic d16y7 with automatic transmission. I have my 2000 civic rebuilt tranny ready to swap over. I had to scoop it up, just a great deal.
I know how to do the head swap itself, just any help would be awesome.
I already have my top end gaskets copper spray for the head, and some high high heat paint to paint the block and tranny. Since I have the p22 or p28?(correct me if i'm wrong i forget) I should just be able to swap the head and that'll be it...right? Also I have a 12lb jr flywheel, and exedy stg 1 disc with heavy duty pressure plate, that'll just swap over right? Cause it's a d16 block. Anything else i should do before i put her back in? besides the general maintenance i already know of.
Oh i have arp head studs as well that b***h wont leak.
I had ordered a ls swap, they sent the wrong motor (from the 96 and under model) obd1 bullshit so i sent it back, found this swap for 10x cheaper then what i was spending, i just need it for reliability ATM. Any help with this would be great, thanks.
