Wassup everyone...
Well, I finally got my hatch. It was almost a year since my 99 silver CX got kidnapped from me. But I guess it wasn't meant to be. And now my newer hatch is better than that one. Although I had to put a lot of work in it with the very much needed help of my friends. I'm pretty happy with her right now. I just wanna sell my coupe (pics in signature) so I can get me a motor and full suspension... although I will miss her very much.
But here goes. I bought this car from a marine who was about to be stationed somewhere else. For some reason, his oil pan bolt was loose, so the motor pretty much got fcuked. Rod knock... and he left the car sitting for a year. After driving to the other side of the island to check it out about 5 times, I picked it up. Towed it home and my friends helped me drop in another motor (sohc) so I could get it registered, the safety check, and get insurance on it (needed it really badly because the bank is the lein holder). After that, it's all the minor tweeks and fixes that I had to do to make her reliable. But like I said, the next steps are waiting for the sale of my coupe. Oh yea, the hatch also came with a 94-95 gsr head, a1 ls block, and a bunch of other stuff in pieces. I sold that so I could get more money... It would take too much time and money for me to keep that and build it up. And it also came with the rims, coil overs, jvc touch screen deck (gave to one of my friends for his major help), and headlights
I bought the car for $3000, and had an extra $2000 from the loan to fix her up. Here's what was needed to be done...
- Engine Swap
- Install factory Horn (aftermarket one from checkers, etc. was broken and i hate those)
- Install EX doors (I wanted power everything, and driver window crank handle was missing, and the turn thing was stripped)
- Install Hood release lever
- Install EX Front Seats (DX Passenger seat spring / rail was messed up)
- Clean up hella messy interior
- Get spare tire, emergency jack, foam holder thing, trunk carboard & carpet
- Driver rear passenger seat pull pin (so seat can fold down)
- Take out Driver side EX Arm (Knuckle & Hub... found out when i was changing the brakes) and install the DX arm
- Change Fuel Lid Door (Still not perfectly aligned.. but looks better than before)
- Polish that bad boy!!! (made a huge difference)
- Buy front emblem
- Buy Rear Wiper Screw cover
- Strip off old ass tint
- change door weather seals
I think that's it. But I know there's more. lol. There's more to be done too.
So far, these are the only things I know I need to fix...
- Engine Idle (I think it's the idle air control sensors)
- Trans scratches when you're accelrating and shifting gears
- Rear Washer Nozzle (I think water pump is clogged... it pumps, but nothing comes out)
- Rear Defogger lines
And here's some stuff I wanna do..
- EX Trunk / Gas Release Lever Install
- OEM Moonroof Install (Once I find a reputable shop, find out everything that needs to be done, and have the cash... lol. I have the moonroof assembly, and interior trim w/ vanity lights... I also have the complete EX wire harness on the side w/ trunk light, fuse box, relays, etc.... didn't use for power mirrors and locks tho )
- Install internal antenna from 99-00 4-door civic (I got the antenna roof cap)
- I wanna buy the arm rest center console
- new paint job (Car is FBP i think... doors are flat black, door handles & fuel lid are duplicolor black, and mirrors are FBP suposedly... 4-tone black car... haha)
- that's it for stock mods... REAL mods will come later. I know what I want to do but no money right now. lol. college and credit card bills suck. I'll let you know what I get and when I throw them on.
But the REAL mods are..
- Si-R Headlights?
- 16" Motegi FF6 Gunmetal Rims
- OBX Generic Coil Over Sleeves (Shitless)
- EX Doors (Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors, Tweeters)
- Viper Alarm w/ Autostart
- Keyless Entry (4-door exterior handles)
Interior
- EX Gauge Cluster (w/ odometer from old car... if you don't know how to swap it, ask me how)
- EX Front Seats
- Alpine CDA-9857
- Powerbass 6.5" Components (Front)
- Lighting Audio 6"x9" Rear (Hella good for price)
- OEM Trunk Light from Integra (On/Off Switch)
So finally, here's some pics!!!
