Everytime I go to the shop I admire this thing. Years of hard work has been put into this car, and it shows... He's workin on the suspension at this time, and his goal for this year is the 9's. I know its not my car, but thought I should share...

would a wheelie bar work for a fwd?

hmmm....

nice car though
yep, I guess it helps hold the front wheels to the ground, so I don't know if they're called wheelie bars, maybe traction bars, but thats a different thing altogether on a rwd.

Yea, when the car launches the front hops up, which makes the rear sink down. You need the front to stay on the ground. The car ran mid 10's last week... He's got all the power he needs...its just a b***h to get it to the ground...I would like to share what he has, but you know how it is...lets just say that most of it is not aftermarket...

Heh heh...yea the roll call on the side...Hey, he's gotta pimp the sponsors! Dont wanna give out the current specs really (for his privacy)...but lets just say his B series once pushed 460hp on the dyno...but during the process cracked a sleeve...Right now he's got a Dart block (the s**t!!!!!) in there with fresh new internals...He's had problems with it this season...3 months ago his gasket blew...due to runnin near to 40psi...But then finally made 3 passes with new block last week with no problems, he used only half the boost as he usualy runs, but still ran mid tens. I hope this thing gets into the nines by the end of the season. He will be one happy bastard...

i forget who used to do it,about 4 or 5 years ago there was a pro drag team that actually used a set-up that when he launched the car air pistons would force the "wheelie bar" down onto the track which forced the front wheels to stick better. but that became illegal after a few races.
