my new eg with a b18c1 jackson racing supercharer

hi i am new to the site and i just bought a 93 civic eg w a b18c1 and a jackson racing supercharger it is at 8 lbs. boost supposily but i do not know for sure because i do not hear any whine when i get on gas and what could my motor handle for boost if its a every day driver and i have a lsd tranny with a short throw shifter if that helps! thank you please help!!!!!!!

People say they can handle 11. I wouldn't go over 8lbs.
The Jackson racing supercharger doesn't boost until the petal is at least 70% pressed. They do this so it is less work on your engine for daily driving. So you can prob get buy boosting 11psi as long as you don't give it past 70% throttle daily driving.

Just keep it at 8 and get a boost gauge to se what it is really boosting

it will build boost whenever there is load on the engine

you dont always hear a supercharger whine, you arent exactly running a huge whipple or paxton on your gsr

psi doesnt mean s**t, its the amount of power the car is making that makes or breaks the situation

It sounds like a nice car. If I were you the first thing I would do is find a good shop and get it tuned so you know everything is in order.

Ahh the joys of buying a built car rather then building it urself. I agree with what's said above, take it to a tuner pay the $100/hr or watever and get that bad boy retuned so u know it's running safely. And get some gauges installed as well
