My new exhaust..Comptech =)

Went from a GReddy EVO II that i really like to this:

I love it..its more throaty than the EVO..but it rattles anyone know how to fix it?

try getting stiffer mounts from autozone...that fixed mine.

The rattle is when i start it and at around 3000 rpm's...it sounds like under the shifter..?

like that plus do it to all the mounts..mine was rattling on the sway bar.

make sure it is not hitting the heat sheild or the shifter.

ok thanks..i just don't heart it from the axleback part...what will happend if i remove the heatshields?

you can remove the heatshield, but i bet its the shifter

why did you give up the evo? o and if you remove the heat shield you will just get alot more hot air in your engine bay i believe.

hmmm...u know, my exhaust rattles around 3k rpm too. It takes approx 5 min or so of street driving for it to start rattling from a cold start. Consistent too...at the same signal light everyday on my way to school it starts rattling. only way i've gotten it to stop was to go onto the freeway to heat up the car.

I took it into the shop and the guy there told me it's possible it could be the baffle inside the center resonator broke off. If that's the case, then when I take it on the freeway or drive it alot continuously the baffle expands because of the heat and doesn't rattle anymore. U think this sounds like a similar problem u are having with your exhaust?

hmm..mine rattles like around the shifter...it dosen't rattle at the axleback...my bro had this problem to and he took it to a shop and they tighten the bolts from the cat to the B pipe some more and the rattling was gone..
