here are some pics of my new (new to me) k&n short ram intake. i bought it from this huy who works at my school for a total of $25 with install. I know it has the aem sticker on it but thats bc that intake didn't come w/ a sticker and his roomate bought an aem cai and didn't want the sticker so he just slaped it on that. I think it was a good buy for $25 dollars bc it will do till I get my cai later this summer. It looks pretty good with my red wires too.

good deal for $25 w/ install. Although you could've done it yourself just for the experience.

yeah thats a good deal. I like my Injen Short Ram and it sounds pretty good at high rpms. Just watch out for stomping on the gas hehe. But uh yeah put some Dryer Hose in the hole where the resonator box use to be and have some ram air?

yeah I dont think its too hard to do after you take out the resonator box is it? In a few months I plan on getting the CAI extenstion for my Injen. Would CAI still be good in the summer in San Diego...And where I live, it gets to like 90 and sometimes 100 if were lucky.

Driving the vehicle in rainy conditions is not enough to cause a problem unless the vehicle becomes submerged enough that the inlet end of the pipe is immersed in water. Rain impingement on the filter will not cause a hydro lock condition.

So if it rains like a mother f**ker (flood ish) conditions then yes I'd worry about the hydro. If it just rains like normal I wouldnt sweat it. Big puddles and s**t can be big problems. So I avoid driving when it is raining that much.

You should be able to buy heat shielding stuff at a motorcycle shop. Home Depot might have it too.
