hey guys, Its been a while but I just bought a jbm sir2 motor and havent installed it yet.
please take a look at the list of up grades and let me know what you think it needs.
also anyone got an idea of what kind of horsepower this thing should have.

1995 JDM B16A SIR II swap, with a YS1 tranny with a MUGEN LSD.
This motor came from japan.
It is a J-SPEC 170HP motor.
It has a list of internals upgrades as long with a MUGEN LSD put in the YS1 cable tranny.
The head has Skunk 2 Stage 2 cams
The valves/springs & retainers are skunk 2 also.
The head has a stage 2 port & polish job.
The head has all new valve seats and seals.
The block was blueprinted and mapped.
The pistons/rings/rods and rod bearings are from a (1998 B16b Civic Type R block).
The tranny is a JDM YS1 Tranny with a MUGEN LSD.
It has a JUN 12 pound flywheel and a centerforce stage 3 clutch.
The oil pump and water pump are off a B18c5 (Type R)
The ECU is a MUGEN ecu with a 9500 REDLINE.

That's going to pump out some good N/A hp... It's hard to really tell without other uprgrade information such as exhaust and whatnot...

i would suggest to get a 4-1 header, since that motor is completely NA i suggest that you get a header that will better for the motor.

Or better yet, don't. You have a nice set up there, but why are you dropping that into a 4 door? It will be different....

If I remeber right...All JDM engines valve covers have the DOHC in small letters and VTEC in larger letters......otherwise thats a pretty SWEET ASS engine!
