Ok i just thought i run my plan through to u guys and get opinions... first of all i'm taking a year off from school to do all this... i have a 92 DX HB.. i'm gonna swap out the D15B7 and drop in a B18C1 with a B16a2 tranny... hopefully with LSD... then i'm gonna put a fake j's racing intake, DC 4-2-1 headers, and i'm not sure what type of exhaust system i'm gonna put on it though... any suggestions? i'm looking for something that is not to loud and with a warrenty.. i'm also thinking of putting in a stiffer suspension with my stock 13" steelies.. oh and one more question.. its a dumb one but what does a stock B18C1 run on the 1/4 in a civic? i've done searches but couldn't find anything

I’m taking the year off for other reasons too.. I’m just not sure want i want to do.. I started a business program but I’m not sure if its what I want to do

Well how much money do you want to drop into your car? Because running on 13's with stock suspension and a b18 = s**t. =)

ya i'm not sure how much... as much as it takes i suppose.. that's why i'm still trying to decide between a B16 and a B18

with either engine you will want to upgrade the suspension and brakes both of the engines you have in mind are much heavier the the d15.

hey man quitting school for a year shounds a bit idioti; i am going to be a part time student next semester aswell and work full time. sounds like we both are in the same boat. good luck with your conversion.

my opinion is that I don't think you should take off of school just to work on your car.... unless you're trying to get a job for Mugen or Spoon of Japan er something..

Secondly, i think you're getting a little too excited and a little ahead of yourself... i mean dont get me wrong, having a plan is good, but you don't even know how much you want to put into this project. What are you, rich or something?

I think you should start out simple... take care to of the suspension and wheels FIRST. Drag racing on stock steelies and a stock suspension with a B18 isn't really gonna get you the ET's you want. Get the car 'prepped' first before you drop in a more powerful motor, then go from there...

yeah i see what ur getting at and its a good point

my plan is as follows:
1: neuspedd shock and spring setup
2: new bushings all around
3:sturts all around
4: b16a sir2 and ill do the gauge conversion

I think a b18c swaped in a 5th gen will put you at 14s or low 15s. boost the b18 and you'll be running 12s and 13s.

b18c in hatch with ihe = mid to low 13s.

Sounds good, but you are really going to want some different wheels (if you don't have some already), the 13 inch CX wheels plain S U C K, I really need to find some bigger steelies.

no a b16a would give 5th gen's 14's and 15's in the 1/4 mile. A b18c would run us much lower times

steelies are good if you cant get rims IMO, they look better then hubs

if i had hubcaps i would buy rims before anything else and i would not take the hubcaps off because steelies are gay no matter what and if this guy has all this money to drop in his car then i think he can get something better than steelies

the b18 has more displacment than the b16, i suggest getn sum big brembos and a new suspention after u make the swap
