My speakers turn on randomly.

I have a 97 Civic EX and my door speakers turn on when they want to. I was driving back from the airport this morning and the right speaker started working after not working for a few weeks. Then it stopped working again. It used to work more often, but who knows what happened. Anyone know whats up with it?

I also have a problem with my driver side window. The window comes out of the socket slider where it should go up and down. I constantly need to take my door panel off and repair it. It comes out randomly as well. Sometimes it'll stay in for a few months, and other times it'll pop right back out within the hour. I'm about to just keep the window up!

Take off the speaker panel and check your wire connection for the speakers, the connector may have came loose. Recheck the wiring coming off the head unit as well, if its an aftermarket radio. My window (as well as most 6th gen owners) comes out of track as well. When i roll it down, i press down on the window towards the back, and when i roll it up, it helps if i help the window up by pulling on the curved part of the glass. I haven't had to take off the panel and put the window back in in over a year with this method.

Would there be any other wires that might come loose? Or are my speakers dead? The wires are firmly connected into it and the wires are also firmly connected to the aftermarket head unit. Thanks for the input on the window, didn't know it was that common! My right window never has that problem though! I have one more question that maybe you can help me with. When I tried installing an amp, the remote wire which is the blue wire with the white stripe coming from my head unit attached to nothing! Like it was plugged into the head unit, but there was no connection on the other end! Same with the blue wire, but my head unit knows when to turn off and on at the right moment (car on, radio on. car off, radio off). Could the rem wire be a different color? Would those wires that connect to nothing have an effect on my sound?
