My stereo sometimes just turns off

I have a Pioneer stereo that's a little old (bout 2 years) and lately it's been turning off on me. I'll press a button or go over a bump and it turns off, or the sound turns off, and it won't turn back on until I either turn my car off and turn it back on, or I take off the faceplate and put it back on. I've taken it out and everything looks like it was plugged in right. Has onyone had a similar problem or any idea what could be going on? Thanks.

loose wiring connection or contacts on faceplate are wearing out. try cleaning them a bit.

I vote for bad connection from deck to faceplate.

I don't have the warranty (the previous owner put it in)
But I'll try cleaning the contacts and see what happens. Thanks =)
