I currently have a 93 civic lx sedan. I am not planning to go all out race, especially since its not a hatch. I do how ever need a powerplant that can give me enough speed to enter onramps to the freeway with out gunning it. I am planning to keep it simple with an LS engine with the LS auto tranny. However im such a noob that I don't even know what I will need, How much I should look for without getting raped, I have heard of LS/VTEC and of course the manuals are always better. I have also heard of the lsvtecs having oil problems, but as well as great success with well built ones.
right now though im just leaning on the ol regular ls auto. not much power, hopefully not as much money, but atleast something better then a mini me swap. then maybe i could build from there. So if anyone out there can help me with what i will be needing ex: chip, ecu, axles, wiring, direct bolt, & how much id be looking to spend for an auto trans & manual....please help this noob out. ALSO if u guys know any good websites like hybrid honda with good diagrams and pictures and info specifically for the LS SWAP let me know
I know that one guy with the EG coupe LS/Vtec set up has experience the one with the mugen valve cover. white coupe, jdm red tails, gun metal rims...i needa look for u and ask u, but if u see this message too please help a brother out hehe. sorry if this post is long...im just lost right now.
