Alright - Im starting this thread because I want to be able to remind myself what I started with when.

Here is my story for anyone who cares.
I bought the car the beginning of March for 4k as is from a friend of my brothers to start a new project after leaving the scene for a couple years. I had a 1999 protege with some work, and sold it to get into the bike scene. I have always wanted an EK hatch so I picked it up.

Im going to use this space to document the current mods with some pics and post future plans and pics of progress along the way.

mods the day I picked it up:

Exterior:
2000 SI front end/grill/lip
OEM sideskirts
CTR replica rear lip
CTR replica spoiler
JDM Tails
DIY black headlights
M3 stye mirrors

Interior:
Stock and no radio

Suspension:
Ground control coilovers
Stock shocks
17"s - I have no clue who makes them

Engine:
stock D16y7
fully rebuilt - after the rebuild motor has about 50k on it
injen intake
catback exhaust

These are the pics of the car the day I got it.

Future Plans:

Exterior:
replace the crappy ebay mirrors

Interior:
bucket racing seats
harnesses
radio
and some minor interior tweaks

Suspension:
15" Black Slipstreams
Koni shocks
sway bars
strut bars
the whole 9 yards (Im a suspension freak)

Engine:
build and turbo a ZC motor - currently have a ZC and tranny and ECU in the garage (500 bucks from a buddy of mine I couldnt pass it up)
and those are the plans for anyone who cares. If not no biggy just using the space to keep myself motivated .

as of now I have new mirrors on the way, some stockers.
Also picked up a set of eyelids to see how they look on the car and if I like it or not.

not to bad man. I'd switch out the wing though on the back with a more factory looking one. Yea 17s gotta go to like you said. 15" slips will probably be so much lighter.

lol they are leet jdm stuff - they are supposed to be the jdm typer-r tails - Im sure they are replica ... buts who the hell knows.

Im just trying to build a clean car - I dont care if its jdm or whatever, just clean

I love front ends like yours . All I need is an OEM SI lip and a drop and I'd be set with the majority of my exterior.

yeah the only thing Im changing about the exterior are the mirrors - eventually I might change to a spoon spoiler - but I like the simple exterior. and Im swapping rims ... but I consider rims/tires a suspension mod.

Update:

Installed stock mirrors and eyelids ... also adjusted the coilovers a bit new pics tomorrow.

I just bought a house and am in the process of moving - so no updates for a bit after that due to lack of money

thanks for comments - I go through phases with eyelids - I had them on my last car then took them off then back on ... etc ... they were only 9 bucks though lol

thanks and ya suspension owns me ... next mods after we move are LCA's/rear discs/shocks sway/strut bars etc ...
