well, before anything, here are some few questions for ya :
- is your motor healthy? any problems? any over heating issues? any oil leaks or burn issues? what is ur compression ?
- how much are u willing to spend? caz u cant cheap out when it comes to turbocharging ?
- dont get me wrong but do u have any knowledge about force induction ?
About my turbo, well its a home made kit, i got it of a friend for $900 with the installation. The turbo is a mitsubishi TEO4H (it was on ebay for $150), its a small turbo lol but i wanted to start at some point with something small and simple (for learning purposes). Along with the turbo i got the pipings, intercooler, HKS SSQV BOV, oil feed line and return, and an FMU, then i spent few hundred bucks on some other pipings, 450cc DSM injectors with resistor box, boost gauge and tuning. i would say i spent around $ 2000 or less. When i boostd my car i had around 187000 miles on it, yes it was a lot but i knew my motor and it was healthy, and i loved it, the power that i gained was very noticable, then after a year and at around 195000 miles my oil pump gave out on me and i spun a bearing. Now, while im at it, im building the bottom end and cleaning/checking my head, then i will be back on the road again...
