hi guys thought it was time i did a little build thread so here goes

brought the car 3 years ago as a stock 1997 h/b in green with a d14
within 6 months it looked like this

it was ok but was not looking how i wanted so things had to change.
all of a sudden i got caught speeding in a lotus elise at work and got banned for 6 months.
at was not good but was also the ideal time for a b16 swap and possible respray,being a paint sprayer the paint side of things was gonna be easy. ended up doing a bit of a black thing while i waited for a crash damaged vti to turn up(found a silver 1998 vti on silver lake auto parts web site for a trade price of 6oo quid) heres how it looked

I am also not a big fan of the front lip in the pics - what kind of lip did you get to replace it ?

after the swap was done buy myself (much easier than i thought) i got my licence back and started using the car and was quite pleased with the extra power, although i was expecting more.
i got fed up with the look so it was strip down time

while stripping the car i did a few bits like weld and smooth the rear wiper and h badge holes for a clean look and did a mini wire tuck nothing to much

colour is from a pt cruizer and in my opinion looks very cool

they are vti alloys but they are for sale as ive almost finished my new wheels ( something very different)

No s**t! I feel special parking next to a porsche every great once in awhile! Dying to see the finished product! I do paint work too, looks like you know what you're doing! Hope I can find this thread later to see if you updated, if not keep up the good work bro!

quick update before i take the kids to football trainig.

base coat applied and looking cool

then on with the laquer

thats all i got time for this morning
except a sneeky peek at my new wheels which im in the prosses of prepping for paint,can you guess what they are from?

just as a quick clue they came off a car that runs 16s on the front and 17s on the rear (dont worry ive got 2 sets of fronts so ill be having 16s all round)
