My whole system wont turn on

okay, so i just bought a new Kenwood amp yesterday and i installed it. But dumb mistake i made was when i was mounting it, pulled a cord while it was on and i guess a fuse blown or something short circuited and i'm not sure what. i replaced the radio fuse under the dash(which was blown) and the ECU/RADIO under the hood, but those didn't do the trick. i pulled the HU out and put the red and yellow wires together to get continuous power and the deck and amps turned on like it never happened. So i tested the power on both the yellow and red wires and the yellow had 12v like its suppose to but the red had 0 when the ignition was on and off. Does anyone have a clue what it could be ?

take a test light to all the fuses and see if your getting voltage from there, if not then there's definitely something wrong .. just my :twocents:

go through and check the fuses then make sure nothing got snagged out when you pulled the wire.

Did you check the in-line fuse in the power wire?

yeah, thanks though. i figured out the idiot before me had the wires spliced therefor when i pulled the wire it came apart.
