Mysterious bushing found...need help.

I found this rubber thing (beside the lighter) in the ashtray of my recently acquired EK3. Anybody have any idea what it's for?

Looks almost like an exhaust hangar, except that bottom portion is open rather than being closed like the top part.

Thanks for replying. That was my 1st guess too but it's not, i've checked. I'm starting to wonder if it's something from behind the dashboard as it looks too clean (almost new) for it to be from anywhere outside.

So what makes you think it is even automotive related? You know how many weird things have been in ashtrays in cars that come through work? Just toss it, even if it is auto related, if it was in the ashtray, it must not be that important or it would be where it is supposed to be.

I think thats some sort of industrial grommet, so I highly doubt it belongs to a Honda.

By the way, it getting old fast that all these newbies be drama queens and put "help" on minimally important questions.

The previous owner must have removed it to install the wide angle mirror. Never cross my mind the mirror would need this. I thought it might be from behind the dashboard as something sound loose from behind there. Thanks all who helped.
