I was wonderin if nebody new what made some VTEC engines so loud "i mean the VTEC" What makes is so loud on some engines????
and can u control how loud it is????

whhhaaaa? you mean the engament of VTEC? its cause stuff be happing in motor. I'm to lazy to explain it but its doing stuff and noise is made.

it depends on the motor, like some ex with vtec isnt gonna be as loud as a gsr with vtec....and then when you mod the engine, like intake, and exhaust, or cams, it makes it louder too

the reason vtec is louder than normal engine operation is because its moving more air into the engine and out of the exhaust. on a sohc engine the vtec only allows more air into the engine...a dohc vtec allows more air in and more exhaust out...that change in exhaust pressure can make a noticeable difference especially with a free-er flowing exhaust...make sense? In theory i guess you could control the sound, but you would have to do it with larger cams and valves.
