Hey guys I always heard that you can't have a n2o set up with a turbo, why???
I have a direct port NOS setup in my 95 civic DX which I never try it the past owner told me it was set up with a 65 shoot, but like I said I never try it, I also heard that every time you use the N2O you damage something to the engine.
so now I'm thinking in a turbo, but I'm not sure is I can left my nos set up or I have to take it out?? please let me know, and also I found this web site that is offering a complete setup turbo(no intercooler) for 600 buck But I'm not sure how good are those, anybody knows????

thanks guys!!!!!

haha, okay first of all, you can have n2o and a turbo and in a way n2o does harm your engine... if your stupid about it but so does every other large mod

and about that kit, if you are going to buy a "complete" turbo kit for 600 it is not complete

like I said, you can easily use both but as long as you aren't stupid with it, an untuned d-series can handle up to a 75 shot without strengthening anything. As for the turbo you can but up to about 8 psi without strengthening much,

You can go quite a bit higher than 8 psi. I'd suggest tuning it though. But, NO A STOCK D SERIES CANNOT HANDLE TURBO AND NITROUS. I definately would not recommend this. And also, the SSAutochrome setup comes with a t3/to4e which in my opinion is way too large for a SOHC. You will have great lag. I would go no bigger than a .48 exaust for daily driving. If you're a track whore then maybe go with a little bigger.

i wouldn't recommend those two things in w/ eachother on a almost bone stock d series motor. if you had the money to spray and boost. might as well trade in the boost for a b series motor because they'll cost the same or the boost will be more. complete turbo kit for 600 w/ out intercooler? unless if you got some mad connections that is a friggin lie even w/ out intercooler. just my thoughts.

if u want cheap cheating power get nos, if u want real power get a turbo. a stock motor will go to pieces with both

my brain hurts. it's pretty simple, yes you can do both, no, you shouldn't unless you swap or get a port and polish and new internals, AKA "costing as much as a swap anyway!!!"

Turbo, NOS, all motor setups can all damage an engine if not tuned properly.

The main thing with any of those setups , is fuel mixture. if you run lean at all, thats when you can damage the engine. With nitrous, it will need additional fuel as more nitrous mixes with the air to keep a proper Fuel mixture.

Its the same with Turbo, as the engine builds up boost, the volume of air increases and thus needs more fuel to mix with the build up of air.

Nitrous and turbo do not ruin engines. Improper tuning is what ruins engines.
