You know what the best turbo is out there for sohc I hear ebay turbos are hit or miss so im not sure and mine engine is d16y7 but like you said turbo sounds or is best till im ready for a new engine
turbo it unless its your dd. If so then buy another motor get it built with forged internals then get a proper turbo kit.
If your cars currently auto and you want to go for more performance on the stock motor; might as well sell it or swap it for another vehicle or for a standard Civic. I recommend swapping/selling because if you're going to go down to working on swapping it from automatic to manual, you might as well just do a full engine swap too. (B-Series)
I just found out a turbo'd/daily driven stock SOHC (z6 on y7) in a gutted interior EG made 12 sec. at track and 250+hp/200+trq. Very old thread though; 2006. Still looking into it; it's a very inspirational build. Then again, it's all in the tuning since it's pretty much a stock motor setup. I don't think you're really mechanically inclined... so do a lot more research and focus on the current problems of your Civic rather than hoping for future plans to go immediately as hoped. I'm not doubting you, but you can't keep looking into the future if your car's barely running in the present. Are there any current problems with your Civic that you'd like to mention?

Thanks guys I appreciate the info its a big help,co671 everything runs perfectly fine nothing wrong at all im getting it painted in a week or 2 and then im ready for a build and to put my new suspension parts on and everything,it be nice to sell and stuff but I put my all into this and im going all in on this car and later down the road ill buy another but im gonna ride this civic to its death if you know what I mean.many people say.you shouldnt put money into a car like this well I work to hard not to and I want a fancy ride thats fast I deserve to have somthin fancy that I built by hand thats magazine material.
I'll go for an engine swap to manual B series as well if your current motor is auto d series.
