Something tells me that is a fuel pressure regulator for carbs, but i've never seen one online so maybe i have the part wrong? Or if someone can link me to where i can buy one that would be great. This picture is from a 93 civic i believe. I have an japanese 95, but my fuel line doesnt have one and needs it just cant find the part.

I tweaked your title to attract attention from those with carburetor knowledge.

That is the fuel filter.

BTW you have a lot of other systems that have the vacuum lines removed. Do you know why?

Just from looking, not verifying with the service manual. But the EGR and vacuum advance appear to be disconnected. In stock format both systems should be operating. This aids in controlling the ignition advance and cylinder temperatures by introducing exhaust into the intake.

Checked it after seeing your post and it's simliar so i'm sure that's what it is. Question? What happens if your car runs without a fuel filter?

This is a scrap civic that i was able to find, so i'm salvaging it for parts

All the deposits in the fuel will go into ur carb and engine eventually blocking off 1 or more of the tiny ports and possibly causing damage to ur piston rings and sleeves it would take a lot of doing to cause noticeable damag

Ah, so it's needed but in the short term it's drivable without?

You would need to splice the hose together as that's your fuel line obviously if you need to run it without a filter but I really wouldn't recommend running it without 1

Alright. Also with a Carb civic sputtering then cutting off once idle, but fine when the gas is being pressed wheter in neutral or not. Do you know what the cause could be if its not a carburetor problem? (i.e not a vac leak, float is fine etc) checked fuel pump as well.

Could be a multitude of things. Could be ignition related. But prob carb problems most likely.
