narrowing problems

when i warm up the car, the idle is fine around 13-16 a/f. when driving, it runs alittle lean so i back off. in 2nd and 3rd around 3500 rpm, it studders really bad and theres a loss of power. could this be a vac leak or because its running rich or lean? i doubt its the clutch slipping, but maybe.

anyone know?
