I have been trying to mount a front 22mm sway bar from a civic ex I got the ex lca's on there but my problem is the pre threaded holes under the subframe for the sway bar brackets bolts are oxidated and rusted from being exposed and I tried pb blaster and bolting in the bolt in and it broke and so I have seen on other forums about installing a sway bar on a Cx/Dx and on one didn't mention anything about issues with those subframe threaded holes and the other it did but they said they used a 8mmX1.25 tap Im thinking about using a hard wire brush to clean off rust but I don't know if that's gonna work and If I use the tap tool is that gonna change the thread? Can anybody who has had this same issue let me know what they did cause im trying to add this thing since the begining of the summer Smh.. thanx in advance

Grind/sand down if it's just surface rust. If it goes all the way through, you're going to need to cut and re-weld the section that's rusted out. Hopefully, it's just surface. If that's the case, be SURE to seal it with a self-etching primer (I think that's what it's called haha). It will prevent rust, and adhere to the metal surface. Get ALL the rust off with a grinder first, though!

yea I was planing to use a copper brush thats used for cleaning gun barrels with my drill and soak the the threads up with Pb Blaster and just try to brush deeply into threads hopeing that clears them but would tapping the threads work?

I would probably just drill out the threads and weld a nut on the opposite side and get a slightly longer bolt
