Over a month ago I had some LS mesh wheels and a guy I know wanted to buy them. I only wanted $200 (which is what I paid). I knew the guy but he wasn't really a friend. He asked if he could give me a $100 now and the rest the following Friday. I tell him I need something to hold, so he gives me a front mount intercooler. I told him infront of my boyfriend that if I don't get the money the following Friday I was keeping the intercooler. Friday comes and goes and he doesn't show, my boyfriend calls him but no answer. Another week goes by and still nothing. Tried to call again but still no luck. Now over a month later he calls my boyfriend and says he is going to come by tomorrow to pick up his stock wheels and the intercooler because he has the money now. My boyfriend says he has to take it up with me, he gets mad and says something like he better get his stuff or else.

Am I wrong for keeping the intercooler and telling him sorry but it's mine now? I can understand not having money, I am 22 have a 11 month old daughter and a boyfriend who talks me into buying stupid car s##t (turbo to go with intercooler that I decided not to use and am trying to sell now). This guy didn't call, come by, leave a note nothing.

My boyfriend is worried because this guy is a locksmith. Last night the guy drives by my house at 10:40pm, revs his motor up and takes off down the street, drives around the block. Never understood what is the point of that!  :?:

so the guy bought the rims for $200 but gave you $100 and pay rest later, so you ask an asset from him which was the intercooler... correct? well IMO i would keep the intercooler and he gave you $100 and something else to hold on until he can give you the money, if not i'd charge him extra money or holding on to his intercooler, charge him for "renting" a little space in my house or what not. here..... give him the rims and keep ther intercooler cuz it's been too long, or give him the rims and intercooler charge him extra for holding them...

He already knew where I lived, tomorrow both our cars will be in the garage and I would love for him to try something.

He gave me $100 (the rest in one week), I let him put the wheels on his car because his were fixing to pop. He left his stock wheels here, I guess my garage is just for free storage. I have no reason to give him the intercooler back, it's past the time I said by several weeks. He is lucky I am giving his stock wheels back.

I give in to easy because I'm a nice person and forgiving but I would have been hella mad if I didn't hear from him. I say talk to him and if he starts it up with you screw him over. he's the one who should be saying I'm sorry. Your not in the wrong at all so don't give in to him.

That's how my boyfriend is "too nice" at least to his so called friends. He will help his friends do motor swaps at our house, use his tools, stay up all night helping; but if he needs help they are always to busy.

possession is 9/10ths of the law. you made an agreement, he broke it. you own his stuff as payment for the wheels. if he has a problem with that, he has only himself to blame. if he tries something, call the cops and they can deal with him.
