need advice

this guy in my area has a d15b vtec motor wid je low comp forged pistons, crower rods and a drag turbo kit with the ball bearing upgrade includin the intercooler
for fuel system he has 4 extra injectors hooked up
he also has nitrious on it but just to spool the turbo up
he is running 13 psi and its a daily driven car
he says its not giving him any problems
he gave me a ride in it and ran 20 psi and said the motor will hold up just fine on 20 psi for 6-7 runs
it was a really fast civic but the engine sound threw me off a bit cuz it was sumthin like loud rattling\grinding noise frm the pistons
he claimed that all civics wid forged pistons do have the same sound
anyways this is whr i come in
he wants to sell all of it to me the whole setup includin motor and all the things i mentioned above for $9000
he hasnt upgraded the sleeves and is confident that they will be fine at 13 psi
the car beats a b18c5 swapped civic wid i/h/e in a drag
so is it worth it shud i buy it????

Umm, no. You could buy a b18c, build it, and do a custom turbo set up for 3/4 of that if not half that.

its a 96 ex 4 dr and mine is the same
but the prob is that where i live we only got these d series engines and importin one wud cost me around $8000 thats for a b18c5 wid an i/h/e setup and a 55 shot zex kit
so if i can b faster than it wid a D

so back to the question is it a good and reliable setup this guy is sellin and wat bout that sound frm the engine do all cars wid forged pistons installed have it???
this guy beats the b18c5 wid i/h/e we have here by around 2-3 car lenghts at 12.5psi and loses by alot whn the 55 shot zex is used
so wat do u think if i boost it to 20 psi can i take this dude and bout those sleeves wud they hold???????

im working on a setup within the week, we got forged pistons, and were getting everything installed and balanced professionaly so we dont f**k it up....how long did this guy give you to give him an answer, cuz if we finish my buddies setup i can tell you rigt away how it sounds

dude i dun live in the US and bout the high price
well a 2004 civic ex 4dr wid a 1.6L vtec(they r still using 1.6L's here but the chassis is the same as US) wud cost me approx $25000
so considering that $8000 for a b18c isnt that much
