need help, 1.5 swap for 1.6

can anyone tell me why?
i changed my engine and put in a new one the number on the engine is d15z1 and specs say its a 1.5 but nothing from the 1.5 fit it i had to buy a 1.6 distributor and spark wires, can anyone tell me why?

you have a 92-95 1.5 D15Z1 Civic VX, SOHC, 16 valve, V-TEC E, 90 HP.motor. make sure you get all vx parts they should all fit. some other 1.5 parts might not work unless there off of a vx. hope that helps.

or it's a JDM motor..so almost no american model parts may fit..do to that.
but i'm not real sure.

when i go buy parts for it they ask me is it a 1.5 or 1.6 at first i would say 1.5 but nothing would fit, they didnt have the vx option, so i started asking for 1.6 parts and they fit perfectly.

If the new motor had a mini-me swap would that explain it? I have no idea myself, I'm mostly babbling here so I'll shut up now.
