hey all
so this has been sort of a degenative (sp) thing with my interior. wheni first got my car, there were a few squeeks from interior pieces. i could deal with it. the car is 9 years old.
well, i got it in my head to make it totally quiet. there was the slightest little squeek from the rear drivers side. so i pull the panel off, and automatically see the problem. the styrofoam thing atached to the panel was scraping the metal body piece hanging around the 'foam. I wrap the 'foam in some electrical tape (to make it smother and elimiate sounds) which it did....until the metal cut thru the tape..
so i pop the panel off again, find the tape cut and 'foam exposed again. this time, i take m knife to he foam and just cut off the top edge....my thought...no contact with 'foam and metal...wrong..
now its doing it again, but worse, and it has spread to the passenger side.
this s**t is driving me crazy. it like driving with a flock of pissed off parakeets in my car....i have to crank my stereo to like 24 just to her music over it.
it will squeek at certain parts of idleing, and when bass from my speakers hit (i do NOT have subs...just deck speakers)
so, can you help me? NO, i will not just take out my panels....i like my full interior..
NO, dynamat wont be the answer, this is not bass/music related...this is just the reaction to me driving down the road
thanks all.
i need answers/help fast....as this problem WILL be solved today...
