Alright so im looking for a website and some advice. I need an Engine Control Module so i can turn off my maint light so i can pass inspection, and to have better shifting timings and set vtec timing and so on. Heres the story, i blew my head gasket and cracked a head on my 98 civic Lx, so i figured it would be cheaper to just get a new engine. Well i find a 96 Ex engine in good shape so i got it swaped out....let me tell you this is were the nightmare began. Went through several ECUs and a couple engine wiring harness trying to get the right ones, after about 8 months of being in the shop finally got it running "sort of".(mind you this was a very difficult process not to have money and not having transportation) This is my problem, on this wiring harness i have, it has only one O2 sensor output when there actually 2 O2 sensors, thus meaning the maint light is on because one is unplugged. It puts out good air has a new cat on it and yada yada. I need a ECM to turn the light off and fix other things with it. I'm looking for places online that would be not too pricey i guess I'm looking for something like 350 to 500 for one. And if there other solutions or advice please feel free to help. I have thought about another wiring harness but they are very very hard to find plus a hassle and with the ECM i could fix a bunch of things at the same time. Also as for side notes, its a 98 Lx body sedan etc while the engine and ECU is a 96 EX Thank you for your time in reading my story and i would appreciate any help or advice.
