Need help ecu troubles car won't start

I have a 1998 civic ex manual and bought it with a blown up stock y8, replaced it with a y7 and got it home from the place I did the swap. I then bought an ecu that matched the motor and plugged it in and the car would turn over and die as soon as it started. So I plugged the original ex ecu back in and it did the same thing. Now my car won't start at all what did I break... I was told to just plug in the matching ecu and it would stop throwing codes and the CEL would go away. Now it won't start. Help please...

The ecu for the y7 is a P2E 337...

if starts and dies, wonder if the timing is way off, or maybe a loose vacuum line?

fuel, spark, and air. since starting, sounds like getting all 3, just maybe not in the correct amounts or time.
