need help in identifying engien

hey ppl new here..
i own a 97 civic 4dr but the prob is that i live in the middle east so the engine codes u ppl have dont match with ours anyways i kinda chked the engine code on my car i think it says D16y6

any1 with experience with that engine?????

id like to get sum specs of it.........and i ve already got an intake headers exhaust plugs and wires
i wanna modd it to the max without affecting its reliablity..so shud i get the performance clutch,MSD ignition

turbo or nitrous?????
which wud be safer i dont wanna blow my engine

apperntly this engine doesnt handle mods very well..it can barely handle 70shots of NOS
and a 5psi turbo wrecks it as well

i wanna get maximum HP outta it widout wreckin the engien...wat do i do????

check your engine code against the sticky at the top of the engine tech forum...........

also, turbo or nitrous is not an either or decision.......... one method is cheap and unreliable, the other is costly and can be very reliable.

id say get the turbo........ 5psi wont do your motor any harm.

the d16y6 is not on that list.

You can throw a NX or ZEX 55 shot on your car and it wont hurt your engine, unless you use it every single day, every opporunity you get...I got N2O unless you can afford a turbo

yeah.... everything hurts if u overdo it.... err... that didnt sound right but yeah.... i got no clue about that engine... im guessin its a 1.6 right?.... most likely similar to the d16z6 .... but im not sure... hey but if u combo N20 and turbo ... doesnt it eliminate most of the turbo lag?
