94 d15 motor. Runs amazing until you get to a hill. It lugs and won't accelerate. Shakes a little bit. While that's all happening you can feel it kick back to normal that back to bad. Back and forth here and there. I dont know where to start or what it could be. New to honda civics so be gentle and help me out please.

There's a possibility of a failing fuel pump, fuel filter, or fuel pressure regulator. It sounds like a fuel delivery issue, and if it is, it won't always throw a code.

No check engine light.

Now when you say a fuel issue. When I turn sharply my gas gauge does fluctuate meaning it'll go down to empty then back up when I'm not turning.

That's normal.

Also, you're new to Civic. They have less balls than Lance Armstrong. So what you're experiencing may very well be normal as well. Downshifting to 2nd to make it up a hill isn't uncommon lol.

haha Lance Armstrong. I am new to civic but a surge idle and even having similar problem while mobbing down the back side of the hill I don't think is normal. Plus the feel of it's bogging then coming back every 15 seconds. There just a totally different feel.

Actually after going to pep boys. Auto zone calling around. I did what any man would of done when he's pissed at his motor. Opened the good and staired at it thinking why. While it was idling I went through all electrical connections and discovered one of my fuel injector wires the clip was a little warn. So if you barely pull it up it idled horribly. Pushed it all the way down idled beautifully. Proceeded to zip tie all 4 down to make sure it doesn't happen again until I get new ones. But I found a awesome forum out of it. Thanks guys for your help I'll be back soon.
