need help want to put z6 head on y8 block and z6 crank

hey i was just wandering can i put a z6 head on my y8 block with out any problems and the same with a z6 crank . if i could i would just use all y8 parts but cant find any even on craigslist. my buddy is gonna hook me up with z6 parts for cheap. is this possible.really wanna get my vitara build in progress. thank you

It's possible, you're gonna have to figure out what timing belt fits though. I was considering a a6/z6 mini me as well, there might be an oil squirter you have to plug up or remove if I remember correctly, although the newer block might not have it.
