Need help wiring tach

Afternoon all. I just bought a tach for my car but I'm running into some problems wiring it. Now, I have it grounded and I have the tach ginal wire run. For the orange (lighting) what is the best place to splice it in to? The gauge lights? Also, there are 2 power wires (red) that I can't figure out for the life of me where to run them to. On the instructions it says "...to a switched + 12V circut at fuse box, or splice into any vechicle harness wire which is energized ONLY when ignition key is ON (RUN) position." Where should I run the 2 power wires to?

I searced for the answers, but I didn't see them...I might have missed them. If so, I appologize and would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

You can find the accessory 12v in you fuse panel ( there are like 4-5 1 pin connector slots above all the fuses ).
For the lightning of your tach i would tap it behind the foglight buttons. They are powered by a red with black stripe wire.

i haven't had a tach since i was sixteen when someone stole my civic and took it but i know that u can wire the lighthing to the interior light brightness adjuster thing..thats all i can remember unless im wiring it myself. for the red wire i used the stereo player's power and that goes for ground also and the other wire was contected to something blue on the back of my speedometer

coo coo just installed my tach today, just need to clean up the wires casuse i did it between classes on my lunch break, lol

you should wire the lights to your parking lights, and the power wire, what i did with mines was wire it to my fuse box to my cigeritte lighter fuse...works for me...

i dont feel like readin this so ill just list the steps... ground do it to something thats already grounded for the best connection, the red and white positive i just spice them together and take a high fuse out i think 32-35 fuse out and wrap it around the fuse put it back and all the way till you need apuller to pull it back out, then you could run the RPM readin wire to the dizzy behind your cluster or one of the 3 harnesses on the driver side shock mount, thats the Blue wire on either one of them conectors.. best is to run it str8 to the Dizzy so the readins right there,,.

K you have aauto right? Go to the light under the shift plate and piggy back off there. The gauges will light up when you turn on your headlights. I just ran a 10 gauge wire thorugh my car and can [piggy back stuff of it. My gauges have a switch to em. I jsut flick it on and the gauges go on. Or put on switch on that main cisrcuit and jsut flick it on when you get in the car. All the things attatched to it will go on.
