I broke a level that you pull to open a hood, and unfortunately I could not glue it. At this point I have to replace the whole cord that goes from under the dashboard all the way to the hood latch. I was quoted $180 from a local dealer which is a rip of in a white day. One thing that they told is that in order to replace the cord a front bumper has to be removed. Does anyone have any experience in doing that? I am looking to do it myself on a weekend day. Thank you for any help

to take off the bumper there are 7 plastic clips on the top of the grill, right as u lift up the hood u shoud see them, 2 bolts under the car less than an armslength away and 1 bolt in front of each front wheel. So thats a total of 7 clips and 4 bolts. Good luck and if u need more help go search on google.
