That kit looked like it had everything but the fuel management. I wouldn't get it though because it is made by ssac.

actually, theres a lot of discussion on XS/SSAC right now, and most people are saying that theyre NOT experiencing problems.

Still some people say theyre s**t.

Due to the confliction of reports, I would stick with option B, s**t.

it might be crap but its only $900, so u wont lose a lot of money even if the manifold cracks... u cna replace it later.... but for $900 good deal but i bet u money, the manifold is not going to fit, u will have to fabricate it, such as grinding the sides... the charge pipes are going to be a b***h.... its a cheap turbo set up, lower power ratings... since they just designed a turbo from the top of their head, its not good... they havent done research on it, they are trying to get a quick buck... but dont listen to me...

Yeah, I've heard that SSAC isn't bad anymore and that's not a bad price either but the bidding has ended so :( You should've got it instead of asking your question wich has been asked thousands of times on this site and it's always about the same brand kit too  You can build one yourself for cheaper but that's if you want to go that route

What are those colored springs in the pics for?

the quality is definitely improving. i have one of the newest ssac ramhorn manifolds, and the build quality looks pretty good. the tubes are pretty thick, welds look acceptable, but as always, the fit and finish were sub-par. i needed to dremel out some sharp edges, and add a few internal welds to make sure of no cracks. but overall, for 100 bucks i cant really complain. as for the turbo's, they are in fact made of garrett internals, so the quality is much better than it used to be. the problem is they use old stock turbines and compressors, and often poorly mismatched housings. they basically buy the crap that no one wants, and slap it together. whether you get a $800 ssac kit, or an $800 junkyard kit you are still taking risks, and your still making compromises. but if compromises werent made, then you'd be spending 3500 on a really nice kit or a well put together, brand new custom setup.

those are wastegate springs. if it follows the turbonetics color scheme, the red is a 5.15 psi, green is 7.25, and yellow is like 11.

no s**t, I thought they were wastegate springs but also thought they looked too big, I don't have an external wg so I wouldn't know anyway.

i have a turbonetics 38mm (which the ssac is a copy of), and 3 springs sitting in my garage, they are definitely wg springs.

Oh no, I believe you. I just said that the reason I didn't know what they were is because my wg is internal and to change my boost all I did was shorten the wg rod a little bit :D
