need help with wireing

I have a honda civic 2001 coupe and i wanna put in some interior neon lights... not a lot but just a little.
Where and to what should i wire them to for power ? I have very little experience with customizing cars.. im only 16.. but i want to do it right, so any information would be much appreciated. thanx

# 1, wiring doesnt have an e, but besides that, do you have an aftermarket headunit in the car? I just pulled that out and powered my old LED lights off of that. It's the easiest I can think of because all the wires are labeled.

nope my whole car is stock...
is there another way that i can wire it? like to my 12v cigarette lighter? or to the fuse box? or maybe something easier?

You could hook up your positive wires to you 12V cig lighter wire and find a ground for the negative, but you would need to throw a switch somewhere or the neons could possibly stay on all the time. There is a way to put it into the fuse box but i dont like to mess with that so you dont have a fuse malfunction and fire.

ok good thats what i was thinking.. but now the only problem i have is actually getting to the 12v cig lighter.. is there a website that can show me or something?

Yea im for sure theres some type of website. Do you have a Haynes book or any type of those books? They are around 20 dollars at a auto store (autozone, pep boys...) You usually find alot of what you need in those.

forget all that.

Just wire it up to a switch, making sure that you have a fuse on the power line and use a relay.

Best thing you can do.
