Need Help!!!

I have a 93 civic hb Si. Yesterdaywhen i was driving i took off on 1st. tried to redline but the rpm only went up to 6500rpms and started jerking. also does it on 2nd to 3rd. I'm not sure what it is. At first I taught it was because it was cold but my engine was already warm. I live in NYC. yesterday temperature was @ 1 degree. Has anyone ever experienced my problem or may now what is wrong. Thanks

if you are hitting your rev limiter at 6500 then there's something wrong. Do you have any kind of ECU upgrades?

no none.......do you think reseting my ECU will help??

whens the last time you changed your oil?

"Jerking at about 6500 rpm." You guys figure there isn't enough oil lubricating the internals? Maybe it's struggling to push at high rpms and maybe that's where you're getting your "jerk." But I'm not an engine mechanic, it's just speculation.

Id check to see if your running low or if its hella dirty.

If you drive anything like I drive, (hitting Vtec whenever you can) your probably running on no oil.

Time matters more than distance with oil, considering that synthetic oil is really good for 8-10k miles or 3 months.

i was thinkin revlimiter, but i duno it might be the oil, but if it is the oil........damn u needa change it bad or add more
