ok i have a 2000 civic ex and i bought a jackson racing supercharger off someone. and with it he gave me the JR boost controller, and he told me with this controller, u wont need an ECU or tune it. he didnt have an ecu in his civic because of that controller. is that true?

Why dont you call jackson racing (www.mossmotors.com) and talk to them 888-888-4079 . I think he gave you a boost timing controller from the sounds of it and it is used to control the timing curve . Call jackson they can pretty much tell you what you need for your application ! They have been a big help to me ! I wouldnt think of bolting that on my engine without a tune no matter what anyone says do yourself a favor call jackson and do it right get it put on a dyno when your done !!

thanks man. yea thats what he gave me. besides an s300 ECU, what can i use?? i called them and left a message for a tech but i dont know if i will get a call back
you really should call a good tuner shop and dicuss with them what you have they can probably be alot of help to just dont bolt all that s**t on there and go! make sure you get it tuned or you could blow your engine fast !!! its cheaper to get a proper tune than to get a new engine

Convert to obd1. Get yourself a p28 chipped or none chipped and chip it yourself.
And hook it up to your car with an obd2 to obd1 pigtail.
Then when you put the charger on go get it tuned by a professional tuner.
