Need ideas for my civic

I got a 98 civic hx last year and I'm kind of new to the civic world. I'm trying to make it look better and faster but the only problem is its a automatic d16 and Im not tryin to do a transmission swap yet. So can someone help me out.

Kind of a vague question. We can't give you answers if we don't even know what you are looking for.

Budget? Goals? Current condition of the car?

Why not just search around and get ideas from the hundreds of threads that are already out there with titles almost word for word? If you don't find your answer after searching, then come back. There are a stickies at the tops of every section, sections with pictures of builds to get ideas, plus there is a whole bunch of How-to sections that show what others have done and how.

Just to get the obvious out of the way. In my opinion you are wasting your money trying to get performance out of an automatic d-series. They are built for gas mileage and the auto transmissions can't handle very much power. They weren't built for it. On a d-series the only bang for your buck is turbo or swapping for a bigger motor.

For performance, get a b series engine/transmission swap. It's up to you whether you want the regular b1,c1, or c5.

For appearance, its your car so do whatever you want. Working on suspension is a good place to start.
