im trying to do a swap on my ej7 but still pass emissions what kind of swap can i do help
Where do you live at? And you can get away with any swap but depends on inspection. No swap will pass emissions, unless the motor was used in that year civic like a 2000 civic can have the sohc or the b16 and still pass. I dont know what all motors were used in your car but idt they had any b series or anything in them yet. If you find an odd shop that can inspect it they can probably give you a lick n stick

Then you need to RESEARCH! we cant help you for 2 reasons: 1. we dont know your states laws when it comes to emissions, swaps and other related issues you may run into. 2. We dont know what you are looking for. How much power do you want to make? What all do you plan to do with the car? Race? Daily drive? We need alot of imfo from you to be able to help you. The best thing you can do is research research research

everything that you need for the swap. Emissions all they did was put a gas cap on my gas tank and put something on my exhaust and had me idle it at 2500 rpm. I had header, test pipe and full exhaust and passed =P I guess I got lucky

i dont believe most swaps will mess up emissions. if your just putting in a stock, n/a motor that came from a different car that passed emmisions when that motor was in it, its fine. a motor is a motor, say you put a b series in a civic, that motor still passed emissions when it was in the integra, changing cars wont do anything.

This is the intro section, do you see a sign here that says help me I cant do anything for myself?
Do you see a sign that says let's be a f**king d-bag to every single person for absolutely no reason?

If you feel the need to tell someone to research, simply tell them so. Or say to Google it. No need to continue to be an asshat to people.

Yeah bro u need to research, for instance in most states engine swaps are legal as long as the engine comes from a car of the same year or newer. Therefore you could throw an ls1 engine in there if your heart so desired. In other states for instance the smog nazi state of california there are stricter rules. For instance we are TECHNICALLY not allowed to use b20 swaps because you can't swap from a suv to a car (though I still see it done), and after a swap we have to make B.A.R. appointments to get the engine inspected and certified, otherwise you won't pass the visual when getting a smog (but of course there are always ways around that). Research your laws man.

No need to tell people the same answer a million times when its a few clicks away, how f**king lazy do people have to be these days?

There's a million different and more proper ways to let someone know they are posting in the wrong section. Also, like I previously stated, you can tell people to google or maybe to search more. But he did not warrant you to open your mouth in such a way. Play nice or gtfo.
