ok guys, i need an opinion, i personaly already know the answer, but i want to prove my friend wrong(he is a very negitive person) he just bought a 99.5(new body style) jetta 4 VR6 Auto. totally stock. he is trying to convince me that my 98 Civic EX 5 speedcoupe w/only intake will beat his jetta. i dont have my car yet, cuz it got stolen and im waiting ta get it back from the insurence ppl. so we cant prove any of this. i know ill get BEAT but i wanna see what u guys think to prove him wrong! i do know from riding in it that it seems SLOW off the line cuz of the auto, but iv drivin it from 60-90 and i can feel the pull in my balls!

you should do two races....One from a stop, and one from a roll...Just do it in a safe area...good luck, post results, and videos are always good
yeah up ta 60 i can hang, but from then on, im f**ked. and it is auto, so maybe. but damn! iv drivin it and hit it at 60 and let it go ta 90 nad DAMN i can feel my balls suck into me itz so fast! hahha

your EX is not so slow as you think, you can kick ass with an EX, dat is true & proof (my mate had an 5th gen EX, and it was flying) 
the VR6 engines (2.8L) in Jetta & Golf actually are s**t. the ones in Corrado (2.9L) kick ass.

hhaa tru tru. i have noticed that stock EXs arnt ta be fooled with! i mean s**t i beat the new 02 celica GTS. i can hang with some of the big boys too! hahah i dunno i get my car NEXT WEEKEND HOPEFULLY so we will find out shortly
good luck... i agree some EXs can be pretty fast... mine isnt spectacular but it can have its moments.

those are all stickers that f**kin match! the vtec one speaks for itz self. groundcontrol, well considering my car sits about 2 in off the ground id say that one works! haha and yes they are ground control! and coldspeed.net is the sticker for my hometown alaska car club we have our own forum for a town with like 32,000 HAHA!
anywyaz i can smoke him no prob! and yes he does have a rice universal muffler on his lifted toyota truck! but i can run with some of them! i can stay with a stock Si not hang, but i can keep within a car length or 2 ! now lets see how the VR6 goes!
