need some advice

i got a 2000 ex that have a few small mods. i just raced a stock 6 cyl cougar and got smoked. whats a few things that i can do to my sohc that will make it move quicker?
things that i already have.
aem intake
catback exhaust

get cams, cam gears, basic exhaust mods, possibly a AF-VTEC controller...and a Jackson Racing Supercharger

I don't think that cougar is stock if you got smoked... I smoked my buddy's V6 cougar in my civ. Or maybe my buddy is just a bad driver.

well basic mods are I/H/E, some cams, gears...etc...but those wont give you too much more power..maybe like 30 horses after a lot of those...you could go the Jackson Racing Supercharget route...you could go a 55 shot of dry N20....or you engine swap for a faster motor..you must remember, SOHC I-4 vs V6...the V6 better win

would chanfing the timing belt do a diffrence. there 80000 miles on the car and i dont think that it has ever been changed

i also raced a stock 95 ex vtech sohc he was breley pulling on me. is the 2000 ex slow or is mine just messed up

yups, 2000 ex's are pretty much slow with that d16 motor...but u might be able to beat a camry...haha....i suggest a motor swap or just get an Si or something..
